Research Interest
My research is focused on the study of chemical processes in the interface between biota and their surrounding environment, within fields such as food safety, the origin and dispersion of environmental pollutants, human exposure associated health hazards, ecotoxicology (fate and transport of contaminants), as well as the use of model animals (zebrafish) to elucidate the toxicological implications of environmental insults.
Dr Eric Gyimah is a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Environmental and Safety Engineering. I had my his academic formulation in Chemistry leading to the award of BSc.(Chemistry) and MPhil.(Analytical Chemistry) degrees, both from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science adn Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. I received my PhD degree in Environmental Science and Engineering in 2020 from the Jiangsu University, China, and served as a postdoctoral research fellow in the same university. I have authored several papers in peer-reviewed journals in Science citation indexed (SCI).
