The University of Mines and Technology, (UMaT), Tarkwa - Ghana in partnership with the Technical University of Mining and Technology (TUBAF), Freiberg - Germany is inviting applications from female PhD Students/ andidates for six (6) months fully funded research programme on the topic Rehabilitation of Degraded Mining Environments for Sustainable Development at TUBAF for the 2026 summer semester (1st April to 30th September 2026).
The Application is open from 15th July to 15th August, 2025 for eligible candidates.
The successful applicant must be a PhD Candidate from UMaT and must complete and submit an Application Form including the following documents:

Interested applicants are obliged to return to UMaT to continue with their doctoral studies. Successful trainees are obliged to share their gained knowledge and skills with their university community and relevant stakeholders upon return. Additionally, the successful candidate must take part actively in the Erasmus reporting. Applications should be submitted to the UMaT Project Coordinator (see contacts below). No application fee or financial obligations are ever required during this application and selection process. Please note that only qualified applicants shall be contacted for interviews. Also, only selected applicants shall be contacted for further engagement in the next stages of the enrolment process.
