A. LECTURESHIP POSITIONS

2. DEPARTMENT OF RENEWABLE ENERGY ENGINEERING
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor in Renewable Energy Engineering.
3. DEPARTMENT OF TECHNICAL COMMUNICATION
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in English or Linguistics and French.
4. DEPARTMENT OF GEOMATIC ENGINEERING
a. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor in Land Economics/Geomatic Engineering (specialisation in Land Administration/Minerals Cadastre and Minerals Right Administration)/Land Economics/Law.
b. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor in Civil Engineering (specialisation in Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Geotechnical Engineering)
5. DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor in Computer Science, Information Systems or Information Technology or related field (Specialisation in E-commerce, Management Information Systems, Systems Administration,
Business Intelligence Information Security, Computer Network Security or Cyber Security; Cryptography, Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing Software Engineering, Automata Theory, Compiler Design, Computer Architecture, Microprocessors).
6. DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND SAFETY ENGINEERING
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor with specialisation in Safety Engineering or Occupational Health and Safety.
QUALIFICATIONS/ELIGIBILITY AND EXPERIENCE
i. Applicants for Lectureship appointment should possess a PhD with specialisation in the relevant discipline from a recognised University.
ii. Lecturers from recognised Universities may also apply.
iii. Research or industrial experience will be an added advantage.
(B) SENIOR LECTURER
i. Applicants for the post of Senior Lecturer should hold a PhD in the relevant area and should be or should have been Lecturers with at least four (4) years university teaching experience and a minimum of six (6) refereed journal publications arising out of research.
ii. Senior Lecturers from recognised universities may also apply.
(C) ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
i. Applicants for the post of Associate Professor should be or should have been Senior Lecturers with at least eight (8) years university teaching experience and a minimum of ten (10) refereed journal publications arising out of resaerch
ii. Associate Professors from recognised universities may also apply.
i. Applicants for the post of Professor should be or should have been Associate Professors with at least twelve (12) years university teaching experience and a minimum of twenty (20) refereed journal publications arising out of research.
ii. Professors from recognised universities may also apply.
7. ADJUNCT APPOINTMENTS
Holders of Masters or PhD degrees with considerable industrial work
experience may apply for appointment as adjunct Technical Instructors/
Lecturers/ Senior Lecturers/Professors in the following programmes:
• Computer Science and Engineering;
• Mechanical Engineering;
• Electrical and Electronic Engineering;
• Mining Engineering;
• Minerals Engineering;
• Geomatic Engineering;
• Environmental and Safety Engineering;
• Geological Engineering;
• Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering;
• Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering; and
• Petroleum Geosciences and Engineering.
B. PROCUREMENT UNIT
1. SENIOR PROCUREMENT OFFICER
Applicant must possess a Master’s Degree (with options in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Operations Management) and be a member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) or their equivalents Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS). Have a minimum of four (4) years relevant post qualification experience at the rank of Procurement Officer in the service of the University or comparable institution or six (6) years post qualification experience in industry or commerce. Have at least four (4) publications (Projects/ Position Papers/Proposal/Journal Article) in his or her area of specialisation
C. OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR
1. ASSISTANT REGISTRAR (TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT)
Applicant must possess a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development/Organisational Development and a minimum of two (2) years post qualification experience. He/she should be able to conduct training need assessment for staff, develop training plan and training materials, conduct training for staff and provide supportive supervision after training of staff. Membership of a major Professional Human Resource body will be an added advantage
D. INFORMATION, COMMUNICATION AND TECHNOLOGY UNIT
1. NETWORK/SYSTEM MANAGER
Applicant must possess a Master’s Degree (MSc./MEng.) in Computer Science/ Engineering, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and/or a related postgraduate programme with focus on networks systems, or telecommunication. He/she should have a minimum of three years’ experience in the ICT field. Having a CISCO Certified Network Associate/Professional (CCNA/CCNP)/CompTIA Network +/Microsoft Certified Systems Engineering (MCSE)/Juniper, Aruba, Microsoft, VMware/PMI, ISACA, etc. with two (2) years experience in a managerial role or position will be an advantage.
2. SOFTWARE ENGINEER (SENIOR STAFF)
Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc./BEng.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or related Bachelor’s Degree in an ICT or Software Engineering Programme. He/she should have a minimum of one (1) to two (2) years work experience in ICT field. Being a Certified Software Engineer and having an Agile Project Management Certificate, Professional certifications in Software Engineering and Project Management from (ISC)2, IEEE, ICCP, AWS, Oracle, PMI, C#, MVC, LINQ, EF, MSQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, NoSQL, etc
3. UI/UX DESIGNER (SENIOR STAFF)
Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc./BEng.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology (ICT); BA/BSc in Communication Design (Graphic Design) or related Bachelor’s Degree in an ICT or UI/UX Design. He/she should have a minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in UI- UX Design or similar role. Having a professional certificate in UI/ UX design, Adobe range of products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver, Wireframing tools such as Sketch, Figma etc., HTML5 and CSS3, some knowledge of Usability Factor in Human Computer Interaction
