Private Hostels

The unit continues to work with providers of private hostel accommodation to ensure the safety and welfare of non-residential student of the university. This was achieved through a series of meetings held with hostel operators and physical inspection of these hostels. For the first time, a comprehensive inspection of all private hostels was carried out by a joint team of official from the dean of students’ office. The purpose of the inspection was to assess each of these and further decide whether to recommend or not for endorsement and publication on the university’s website.
