Overview of UMaT:
The University has two (2) campuses; the main campus located in Tarkwa and a satellite campus at Essikado, Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis. The Tarkwa campus is situated on approximately 1.39 km2 of undulating land with pleasant surroundings and is located about 2 km south of the town of Tarkwa.

Vision:
The vision of the University is to become a Centre of Excellence in Ghana and Africa for producing world-class professionals in the fields of mining, petroleum, technology and related disciplines
