Dr. Suleimana Al- Hassan, a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of Mining Engineering in the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor with effect from October 1, 2008.
Prof. Al-Hassan a product of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and University of Wales, Cardiff comes to his new post with over 20 years teaching and research experience in the University.
Prof. Al- Hassan who joined UMaT, then part of KNUST in 1987 as a lecturer has served the University in various capacities as Senior Hall Tutor, Head of Department, Dean of Students among others.
He has also accumulated wealth of experience from the mining industry as a consultant and currently serves as UMaT representative on the National Accreditation Board (NAB).
