As part of activities earmarked for the commemoration of the University’s 70th Institutional Anniversary, the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) held its 5th Day of Relaxation on 26th August, 2022. The day was set aside to bring members of the University Community together to socialise amongst themselves by engaging in recreational activities.

Members of the University Community, both staff and students, engaged in fun and exciting indoor games and activities. These include the Fifa Playstation, Chess, Monopoly, Table Tennis, Scrabble, Playing Cards, Draft, Darts, Snooker, Ludo, Oware, ‘Bite-The-Apple’, Musical Chairs, and Dancing Competition.

The programme was capped off with a live band performance for the enjoyment of the University Community.

Some members of the University Community expressed their satisfaction with the programme and commended Management of the University for such initiative. They hoped that the Day of Relaxation would be observed in subsequent years.
