Dr William Akotam Agangiba began his career at the University of Mines and Technology in 2010 as a National Service person. Upon completion, he was appointed an assistant lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in 2011. He is now a senior lecturer in the same Department. 

He holds a PhD in Computer Science from UMaT and MSc and BSc degrees in Information Systems and Technologies from Tver State Technical University (Tver, Russia). He has several publications in international journals and conferences to his credit.  His research interest is in Data Analytics, Web and Mobile Technologies, Artificial Intelligence and logic (Fuzzy Logic, Propositional Logic and First Order Logic).  He is a Professional Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE) and a Professional Member of the Association of Computing Machines (ACM).  He is also a member of the International Association of Engineers. He is also a Big Data Specialist with IBM BigInsights
